2 – malayani – This is how it is given in all the books. In some books, this has been translated as ‘useless’; in other books, as ‘discordant’. However, both meanings are not available in the dictionary. The root word seems to be ‘malagu’ or ‘malugu’ meaning ‘bend’. It has accordingly been translated.
4 – Suka mukha – this may be translated as ‘Suka and other important persons’; however, as SrImad-bhAgavatam was propounded by sage Suka, this has been translated as ‘propounded by the very mouth of sage Suka’.
6 – nI japamuna – While the whole kRti is in third person, SrI tyAgarAja uses ‘nI’ - second person in this caraNa. This may either refer to himself (because of Your chanting) or to the Lord (because of chanting Your names). However, it has been translated as ‘because of chanting His names’ here in keeping with other caraNas.
